Terms & Conditions
Booking & Payment :
Booking Confirmation:
All bookings are subject to availability. Your child's space in the workshop is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a confirmation message from Jewel Playground via email or Whatsapp.
Payment Methods:
We accept payments via Bank Transfer, FPS or Payme. Payment details will be provided upon booking request.
Currency:
All prices are listed in HKD.
Late Payments:
Failure to make payment within 2 hour of the booking request may result in cancellation of your child's booking.
Cancellation & Rescheduling:
Your Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel 72 hours before the workshop start time, you'll be offered a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop start time, you'll be offered full credit toward a future workshop. If you cancel within 24 hours of the class start time, or don't show up, you won't be offered a refund.
Our Cancellation Policy:
In the event that Jewel Playground needs to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, extreme weather), you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future workshop.
Rescheduling by Customer: Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled workshop time. Rescheduling is subject to availability. Only one reschedule is permitted per booking.
Class Participation & Conduct:
Age Requirement:
This workshop is designed for children aged Age 5-12. We reserve the right to refuse participation if a child is outside of this age range.
Parental Consent:
By booking this workshop, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child participating and that you consent to their participation in this activity.
Supervision:
Our instructors will provide direct supervision during the workshop. Parents/ Guardians of children above 7 years of age are welcome to stay and observe the workshop, but are not required to. Parents/Guardians of children aged 5-7 are required to remain on the premises during the workshop.
Allergies/Medical Conditions:
You MUST inform us of any allergies (especially to soft clay, metals, or cleaning products), medical conditions, or special needs your child has prior to the workshop. This information is essential for ensuring their safety and well-being.
Health & Safety:
If your child is feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness (e.g., fever, cough, runny nose), please do not bring them to the workshop. Contact us to reschedule.
Appropriate Conduct:
We expect all children to behave respectfully towards the instructors and other participants. Disruptive or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to ask a child to leave the workshop (with their parent/guardian) if necessary.
Safety Guidelines: Children must follow all safety instructions provided by the instructors. This includes proper handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
Personal Belongings: Jewel Playground is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the workshop. Please leave valuables at home.
Photo/Video Consent: We may take photos and videos during the workshop for promotional purposes. By enrolling your child, you grant Jewel Playground permission to use images/videos of your child in our marketing materials (website, social media, etc.). If you do not consent, please notify us in writing before the workshop. We respect your privacy.
Creative Rights & Jewellery Production:
Original Design:
The mould created by your child during the class will be used as the basis for a unique piece of fine jewellery.
Design Modifications: While we will strive to maintain the integrity of your child's original design, some modifications may be necessary during the jewellery production process to ensure structural integrity, material suitability, and aesthetic appeal. We will make these modifications with the goal of preserving the essence of the original creation.
Ownership of the Mould Design:
Shared Rights: The copyright of the mould design is jointly owned by Jewel Playground and the child (represented by their parent/guardian). The child has the right to display images of the final jewellery piece but may not reproduce the mould for commercial purposes without written consent from Jewel Playground.
Production Timeline:
The finished jewellery piece will be available for pick-up/delivery approximately 8-10 weeks after the class. We will notify you when it is ready.
Material Selection:
The jewellery will be cast in gold. You will have the option to choose from a selection of karat gold and gemstones for the finished piece at an additional cost.
Quality Guarantee:
We strive to create high-quality jewellery pieces. However, due to the nature of the handmade process and the use of children's moulds, some imperfections may occur. These imperfections are part of the unique character of the piece and are not considered defects- instead we celebrate them!
Jewellery Care:
While this piece of jewellery is crafted to last, please wear it with care. Clean it gently using a soft cloth, and avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals to preserve its beauty.
Liability & Disclaimer:
Assumption of Risk:
Participation in this class involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to minor cuts, scrapes, or skin irritation from handling materials. By booking this class, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with your child's participation. Jewel Playground takes all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewel Playground's liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your child's participation in this class is limited to the amount you paid for the class. This includes, but is not limited to, injury, damage to personal belongings, or dissatisfaction with the final jewellery piece (provided that the quality standards outlined above are met).
Disclaimer:
Jewel Playground makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the exact resemblance of the final jewellery piece to the child's original mould. We will strive to create a piece that closely reflects the child's design, but some variations are inevitable due to the production process.
General:
Agreement to Terms:
By booking this workshop, you, as the parent or legal guardian, acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions on behalf of your child.
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Changes to Terms:
Jewel Playground reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our Instagram page or website.
